Just got through watching the video of the 1989 Alabama - Ole Miss game. This one is a must have folks! The quality is pretty darned good considering how long ago the game was played. It is recorded in "sp" mode so as to minimized the effect of copying.

The game was a broadcast of the Mississippi Football Network, so you have the Ole Miss guys doing the play by play and color commentary. That's fine because by the time the Crimson Tide scored 62 unanswered points, the wailing and gnashing of teeth is music to the ears of any die hard Bama fan.

For those of you who don't remember, Ole Miss was sky high after getting off to a 21 - 0 lead early in the first quarter. By the time the score board was flashing 48 - 21 Bama at the half, the Reb faithful had reached the depths of depression. It was great!

I'm reminded of a quote in the movie, "Conan The Barbarian" where Conan was asked "What is best in life?" Conan answered, "Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of their women."

That's pretty much the situation in Jackson, Mississippi on that fall afternoon in 1989. This video is a great addition to any Bama fan's video collection.

Roll Tide!!!!
