Speed, speed, and more speed. That's what Kecalf has, and that's what Alabama needs in the secondary. According to his HS coach, Buzz Busby, Kecalf runs a legitmate 4.3. In an interview with Tider Insider, Busby said, "The game is about speed and he's got great, great speed. He's as fast as there is." Bailey has more than just speed however. According to Busby he has excellent quickness and body control. "He has the best feet I've ever seen when it comes to making adjustments, especially when the ball is in the air." If there is a knock on Bailey, it's his small stature. But as Busby noted to us, many top covermen are small. "He's not very physical, but he's not afraid to make the tackle either. His job is to blanket the receiver and that's what he does." Coach Busby was quick to point out that, as well as being a top player, Kecalf is an outstanding young man. From our telephone conversations with Kecalf, we definitely concur with the coach Opponents were hesitant about throwing in his direction, but Kecalf still finished his career with seven INTs. He was also very important on special teams where, as a senior, he blocked nine kicks! | |||
