Let's face it, most people who haven't seen
Chris play give him very little respect as a football player.
Can he play? Just ask Bolles teammate, and FSU signee, Char'ron Dorsey. "People don't want to believe Chris can play corner in the SEC because he's kind of small and he's white. That's crazy. Chris is a great player," Dorsey told us. "He has very good quickness and speed. Chris has an unbelievable understanding of the game. He's the type of player you [opponents] have to watch because he makes things happen." As a sophomore, Chris led the state of Florida with 8 INTs. As a QB the past two seasons, he accounted for nearly 3,000 yards of total offense. As a punt returner, he averaged over 10 yards per return. In his four seasons, Bolles compiled a 54-4 record. "He's one of the finest athlete's we've ever had," Bolles coach Corky Rogers told us. "He has an awful lot of skills. He has speed, quickness, and he's not afraid to hit. He just did a marvelous job for us." Chris, who will also play baseball at Alabama, hopes to contribute next season as a punt returner. In fact, he has referred to himself as the "white David Palmer." If he's half that good, it won't take Chris long to get respect. |
