Shawn is a growing kid who could end up at any one of several positions at Alabama.

At Butler, Shawn starred at MLB and FB. He has the size, speed and strength to play on either side of the ball in college, but he'll probably begin his career at TE. As a junior TE he was All-City.

His HS coach, Ron Danley, told us that Shawn is an excellent talent no matter which position he plays. "He's an impact player in my opinion," Danley said. "He has natural strength and very good feet."

North Jackson head coach Phillip Lolley also speaks highly of Shawn. "I've watched him on film and he's one of the best I've seen this year. He's big, can run, and makes plays all over the field," Lolley said. "I mean he's really impressive."

According to coach Danley, Shawn recently gave up baseball to prepare for next season. "Shawn tells me he's going to start next season. He'll do whatever it takes to make it happen. He's been hitting the weights everyday and he's getting bigger and stronger. He wants to be ready," Danley said.

As a DE in his junior season, Shawn made 114 tackles. Last season, he recorded over 100 more tackles at MLB.

Besides football, Shawn is an excellent basketball and baseball player. He's also a very well spoken and polite young man.
