It only takes a few minutes of conversation with Tony to realize he is a class kid! Tony is a very impressive interview.

John Montgomery, his HS coach, calls Tony a special person. "He's just a leader on and off the field. Besides being a great athlete, he's an excellent student (3.6 GPA). Other students look up to Tony. He's an excellent kid."

On the field, Tony is just as impressive. He was a two-way player the past two seasons. During that time, he rushed for a total of 2,700 yards and 40 TDs as a RB, and made over 200 tackles and 11 INTs as a FS.

Tony was a two-time All-State selection, a member of PIGSKIN PREPS first team All-South squad, and an All-American pick as a senior. Some newspapers named him the state's top prospect.

Coach Montgomery believes Tony's future is on the defensive side of the ball. "I think defense is his best position. He has excellent cover skills and he breaks on the ball very well," Montgomery said. "He's a superb open field tackler. When he's back there at safety, he just does not give up big plays. He makes the tackle."
