New Tiders

DE/LB Christopher Browder

6-4½, 205, 4.7
Camden Wilcox-Central

He committed to Alabama. Then he switched to Auburn. But in the end he went with his heart and signed with the Tide.

"He's been an Alabama person all of his life," Wilcox Central head coach John Moton says. "They have a great staff there now. They're going to do a lot of good things, and Christopher wanted to be a part of it."

Browder is an excellent athlete with the ability to play linebacker or defensive end. As a defensive end the past two seasons, Browder made 44 sacks. His junior season he had 109 tackles and 19 sacks. This season he had 121 tackles and 25 sacks.

"He'll probably be 260 once he gets to college and starts eating right." Moton says. "He already wears a size 15 shoe. He's only going to get bigger. He's still a raw talent."

"He's as a quick as a cat," Moton adds. "I think he'll start out at linebacker at Alabama, but they project him as a defensive end."
