All it took was one glimpse of Ramzee at summer camp for the Tide coaching staff to decide they had found a diamond in the rough.
"The Alabama coaches were very impressed with him," Butler assistant coach David Bittinger told TI following a Tide camp that Robinson
attended last summer. "In the defensive back drills, they thought he was as good as anybody they've seen. Ramzee's going to surprise a lot of people."
Overshadowed by his highly acclaimed teammate, running back Kenneth Darby, Ramzee burst onto the scene as a senior. He played quarterback and defensive back in high school, but he's projected as a corner at Alabama.
This past season Ramzee totaled over 1,800 yards and accounted for 12 touchdowns. On defense, he had a pair of interceptions.
